About the trainers

Randy Hunt is a long-time industry veteran with many years at both Blue Coat and formally with Packeteer.  Randy's industry knowledge and skillful presentation and training style delivers compelling information delivered in a clear and concise manner.  

David Mendenhall, CISSP, who is a founding member of GigaNetworks, has a long history in the industry and has been working with Blue Coat since 2004.  He has implemented 100s of sites with the Blue Coat product and has achieved a Blue Knight certification for excellence in delivery of what can be a fairly complex technology.

Our micro-training is designed for existing ProxySG and/or PacketShaper customers.  We are going to diving deep into a number of subjects within these technologies that will help you more effectively run your network.  Our goal is that when you leave the micro-training, you will enhance your skills to more effectively use these sophisticated technologies.

We will cover the following topics and run though labs for:

  • Authentication using SSO and IWA sequence

  • SSL forward proxy

  • Blue Coat ProxyClient for filtering and acceleration. 

  • Best practice for Shaping for performance

This is a hands-on training, so space is VERY LIMITED.
